The other day my friend Josh posted an unsolicited referral to this photo blog on his site. Thanks, Josh, and here's one back at you. Everyone be sure to check out www.fingertoe.com.
I first met Josh in 1990 at a University of Idaho new student orientation session in Spokane, Washington. He was there for orientation I was there to orient (if that is a word). We have been friends since.
Josh is one of the most unique people I have known in my life. In college he was known simple as "Loopy". He definitely marches to the beat of his own drum.

A quick story to tell you the kind of person Josh is:
When he was married I was asked, and accepted, to be a groomsman in the wedding. At the time we lived 80 miles apart and I did not have a running car. I arrived at the wedding site just as the wedding party was exiting the building.
Out of embarrassment (and fear of facing Josh's mother) I left the scene without speaking to anyone. Obviously I regret missing the wedding. I regret my cowardice even more. Josh's reaction? At the airport, before leaving on their honeymoon, Josh and his bride, Andee, mailed a card to me letting me know that there were no hard feelings, they both understood, and still counted me as a friend.
I don't think there is anything else I can say to tell you what type of person Josh is.
Aw, that is a great friend! Wow. Funny you blogged about a great friend and so did I today! Great minds blog alike... LOL I am gonna go check out Josh's site.
