I have no idea what this is or where it came from. It was in my folder of cell phone pictures.

Update: When viewed in my photo organizing software this was an animated gif. Something was lost in the update. Much bigger Ha when it was animated.

Don't know what it is. In fact, I've never heard of the L K Corral. Went down a road I don't regularly drive and there was the sign. I'm sure it wasn't there the last time I was on that road, which had to be within the past year. However, seemed like good advice, so here's the pic. 

Hey, Goat!

Oh wow, it's been a long time since I've had anything to add to the Roadside Animal collection. Jake and I discovered this group last weekend when we went out to do some bird watching. It would have been a successful day if all we saw were these goats but we also saw bald eagles, geese, ducks (several different varieties) , swans, a red-tail hawk, a small unidentified hawk, woodpeckers, and some very cool looking draft horses.  It was a great afternoon.

I'm sure it is getting old but, man, I miss the camera on my Sony-Ericsson phone. Sony is one of my least favorite corporations but I have to admit they know what they are doing when it comes to installing a camera in a cell phone.

Proclainer




I just discovered this picture is the number one result for "proclainer" on Google's image search. For whatever reason I have "proclainer" as a tag for this picture on flickr. I cannot imagine what I could have meant to type in place of "proclainer" and must assume someone else added the tag. Flickr claims that I am the only user on the entire web site who has used this tag.

(You're the only person who has used "proclainer" as a tag.)

However, to be fair, there IS at least one other flickr user uwing the same tag and flickr makes the same claim for them.

(Mahesh Khanna is the only person who has used "proclainer" as a tag.)

I am not entirely sure what you can do with this information but if you ever are in need of a proclainer, you know who to turn to.

Overweight College Student Announces Plans To Wear Shorts, Sandals For Rest Of Year

Random information update.

It has been nearly a month since I posted an eulogy for my Grandfather. Over these past four weeks I have been very surprised by the traffic that entry has driven to this blog. Nearly every day I will get at least one page view of that entry coming from a google search. Some of the common searches include: "just a farmer", "farmers eulogy", "beautiful eulogy", and "battle of Tassafaronga".

I think the most surprising page view I have recieved so far was from a google search for "squirrel pumpkin" on Tuesday. Perhaps even more surprising is that google returns nearly 400,000 results for "squirrel pumpkin". Go figure. Most surprising of all is how far they had to drill down to stumble on a link to my blog. First, I am Dad is on page 30 of the search results. Too bad for them my squirrel-pumpkin picture went missing. I'm still trying to figure out where it went. Posted it via Shozu and it was gone after about a day.

Used shozu to upload a video today. Not sure why it only posted a placeholder/link or why, on my pc at least, it is defaulting to Realplayer to view it. On my phone I view it with Windows Media Player. I've looked on the shozu website to change video uploading options but I can't find anything.

I think I had some other random info in mind but I can't seem to think of it now so I guess I'll wrap things up.
